Advanced High School Reading & Writing – Homeschool Seminar | September 2020 – May 2021 | Instructor
I designed this class for the high school senior level, and am currently teaching it to one homeschool student remotely via Skype. Syllabus available upon request. The learning style resembles that of a college seminar, as we meet once a week and much of the reading material and assignments are left up to the student to complete on their own time. The purpose of this course is to expose the student to a variety of writing styles through observation and execution, preparing them for both college level and real world writing. Topics covered include short stories, journalism, MLA/APA formatting, poetry, and the scholarly research paper.
